Geografico Contessa di Radda Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019

The prestigious “Contessa di Radda” line is the pride of Geografico, boasting an ancient and glorious tradition. Its name celebrates the illustrious Willa of Tuscany and the millenary history of Chianti Classico hills. This iconic wine is produced with the best selections of the Radda and Gaiole vineyards, the homeland of Chianti Classico. Its refined geometries make it the pearl of the Geografico.

All grapes are manually harvested, once they reach the perfect phenolic maturation, and separately vinified. The fermenting juice undergoes a prolonged temperature-controlled maceration in stainless steel tanks, with frequent pump overs to ensure an intense color extraction and structure. Once the fermentation is over the wine is racked into our ageing barrel cellar.

Aging: 18 months, 50% in big oak barrel & 50% in barriques, 3 months in bottle.

Food pairing: Grilled meat, mushroom-based dishes, and hard cheeses.
