Description
Dona Paula use only estate grown grapes, cultivated at high altitudes where the cooler temperatures allow the grapes to ripen slowly, developing complex and intense flavours. This example of Argentina's favourite varietal shows great complexity and example of why Malbec has such potential here. Intense violet in colour, this wine is full of black fruit, violets and spice, with a fantastic mineral backbone.

Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked the first week of April. In the winery, they are destemmed gently, without breaking the berries. Then, a cold pre-fermentative maceration is carried out to preserve the primary aromas. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures, and a post-fermentation maceration is later performed for 15 to 20 days.
Maturation
The wine is aged in first, second and third-use French oak barrels for 9 months.
