Ventisquero Clasico Chardonnay 2023

Ventisquero means glacier, paying homage to Chile's icy mountains in Patagonia. Innovative and passionate, Ventisquero strive to create wines reflective of Chile's unique climate and land.

This Clasico Chardonnay is elegant and expressive, with tropical flavours of papaya and pineapple complimented by citrus note. With a soft finish and great balance, this is a fantastic example of Chilean Chardonnay.

Fermentation: The must was protected from contact with the air throughout the process which began with a cold maceration for 6 to 12 hours to increase the aromatic potential. Next came a slow fermentation at a constant temperature of between 13°C and 15°C, which enabled the fruit aromas typical of the variety to be drawn out.

Ageing: Once the fermentation was finished, it was allowed to rest for four months on its lees, making smooth movements (bâtonnage) and increasing volume and complexity in the mouth.

Best served at between 8°C and 10°C, this wine pairs well with fish, cheese, risotto,shellfish, pasta and white meat.
