At the foot of Laguardia, between the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range and the sinuous course of the river Ebro, Bodegas Cosme Palacio has kept its pioneering spirit alive since 1894, when Cosme Palacio founded the second oldest winery in the Rioja Alavesa. Glorioso is an iconic brand created in 1917: decades of tradition for a prestigious wine that interprets the personality of Rioja.

Rioja Alavesa is a very special area for the production of unique and high-quality wines with the microclimate of the region protecting the vines from both cold and wetwinds from the North and the intense heat of the South. The vines are grown on calcareous clay terraces at altitude,allowing the grapes to mature slowly and gradually, preserving their characteristic aromas and creating expressive and complex wines.
