Valpolicella DOC 2022

A classic Valpolicella. Bright, ruby red in colour, this is a medium bodied wine, supported by red cherry and plum fruit with a hint of herbal spice character that persists on the palate.

The vineyards are situated in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone at an altitude between 100 and 250 meters. The soils are varied, but predominantly clay-loam. The vines are trained in a Double Pergoletta system, with sward grasses encouraged between rows to reduce the need for weeding or pesticides.

After hand-harvesting at the end of Sept, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The juice is then fermented with 7 days maceration to extract colour. Malo-lactic fermentaion is completed and the finished wine is matured in steel tanks before bottling.

A fine companion for all pasta and meat dishes. Perfect with mature cheese. Serving temperature: 14°-15° C.
